Christmas Info

26th Nov 2021

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Firstly, thank you for the patience, understanding and support you have shown in this first term back to school – as you are all well aware these are unique times for everyone. We have been able to successfully get back to some sort of normality which we are delighted with.

With positive cases rising in our local community and after completing a risk assessment, we have made the decision that this year our Christmas Shows cannot have live audiences.

Please note the following arrangements that we have put in place to still give our pupils some Christmas cheer:
1. Pupils will still be learning Christmas songs and participating in Christmas activities. The songs will be posted on each classes Seesaw or School Website Page for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.
2. Christmas Dinner for our pupils will be held on Friday 10th December. Please note ALL pupils will be going home at 1:30pm that day.
3. Pupils in our Naiscoileanna will be visiting Santa at the Navan Centre on Friday 3rd December.
4. Pupils in P/R1 will be visiting Santa at the Navan Centre on Tuesday 7th December. The cost of this is £12 and needs to be paid to the class teacher by Friday 3rd December latest.
5. Pupils in P/R2 will be visiting Santa at the Navan Centre on Wednesday 8th December. The cost of this is £12 and needs to be paid to the class teacher by Friday 3rd December latest.
6. Santa will be visiting the pupils in Miss McKinstry’s and Mrs McAleavey’s class during their Christmas Party.
7. Pupils in P/R3-7 will be going to Armagh Cinema on Tuesday 21st December as a Christmas treat. The cost of this is £5 and needs to be paid to the class teacher by Friday 10th December latest.
8. The school will close on Wednesday 22nd December at 12noon for the Christmas Holidays and reopen on Thursday 6th January.
I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a healthy and peaceful Christmas,
Mr. N. Smyth
Principal
