Our class enjoyed participating in a recent workshop about local fruit. The pupils got to plant strawberries in our new fruit garden and check how our fruit trees that were planted last year are coming along. Later in the classroom they got to press fresh apple juice, taste locally sourced strawberry and blackcurrant jam and sample seven different varieties of fruit - Plums, raspberries, strawberries, apples, blackcurrants, pears and blueberries. They all had a fantastic morning.
