The end of the school year is fast approaching. I have uploaded some activities as revision on some of the work covered throughout the course of the school year.

Tá sos tuillte agaibh a pháistí agus a thuismitheoirí. Ach i rith an tsamhraidh, bheadh sé maith mar ullmhúchán d’obair Rang 2, coinneáil leis an fhoghlaim ó am go h-am. 

Children and parents, your break is richly deserved. But over the summer period, it would be good preparation for Rang 2 work to avail of opportunities to practise simple mental maths: Counting forwards and backwards to/from 10. Addition within 10. On-going phonic activities would also be good practice: Letter recognition/writing. I spy with my little eye.

A thuismitheoirí, thug múinteoir gaelscoile darbh ainm Jayne pacáiste dom a bheidh iontach úsáideach. Tá sé lán le smaointí iontacha, sultmhara. Tá mé fíor-bhuíoch dí.

Dear parents, a very kind teacher called Jayne has produced a wonderful resource full of great home learning ideas. As soon as I have the opportunity to share it with you, I will upload it to the Rang 1 home learning page. It may not be uploaded on Monday, so keep an eye out for it over the coming week.

Go raibh míle maith agaibh, a pháistí as bheith ag foghlaim an bhliain ar fad. Ba phléisiúr dom é sibh bheith liom agus le Nicola I Rang 1 i mbliana.

Thank you children for continuing to learn and being good all year in Rang 1. It was a pleasure to have you with myself and Nicola in Rang 1.
